Pastor Dan & Shirley's History
Pastor Dan and Shirley Keller have lived most of their lives in the Tri-Cities and the Yakima Valley areas. Though they attended schools in Kennewick and graduated from Kennewick High, they were from different graduating classes. They first met in a Pasco church in 1974 after Dan had come back from two years in Alaska, and helping start a church in Oregon. They were married August 14, 1976. Their three sons are married and live in the Tri-Cities. Dan and Shirley have been blessed with 10 wonderful grand children.
Pastor Dan and Shirley joined founding Pastor Roy and Dee Roberts the year Calvary Church, now Island View Worship Center, started in 1983. They served as Elders and Associate Pastors until 2000, when God called them to start a church in Yakima, Washington. In addition to pastoring the Yakima church, they were Chancellor of Christian Life School of Theology”Yakima. During this time, Pastor Dan completed his Doctorate degree in Ministry. Then, the Lord called them back to the Tri-Cities, and on August 1, 2008, they became the Senior Pastors of Island View Worship Center. It was hard to leave all of our friends from the church and the school in Yakima. We'll never forget this time in our lives and what God did with and for us there.
We are excited to be back in the Tri-Cities once again, and are looking forward to building the Kingdom of God here at Island View Worship Center. The opportunities before us are limited only by our faith to believe in God. God has blessed us with a great church family and a facility where we can grow in His love, share His love with those in need and expand the family of our Lord.
